Things are looking up for both my Mom and Rachel! Mom's recovery is going well -- still pretty tired but she is being a good girl and taking it easy (for the most part!). She met with the surgeon last week and they said everything looked better than they had hoped! The way I understood it...it was so insignificant they weren't even sure there were precancerous cells there!! She is still going to meet with the oncologist this week to see about treatment options and if they are even going to do treatment! Sigh of relief!!!
Rachel also got a pretty good report. They took out the right lobe of her thyroid last week and were 98% sure the tumor was benign, but they were going to test it and get the results this week! I need to call and find out for sure! Her recovery is going alright -- pretty sore and bummed that she can't pick up her little sweeties but that will come soon! She never realized how much she used her neck when doing little things like getting out of bed!!
Grateful for the blessings we have and the good news for both of them!!
Our little family was started 4 years ago now...and there are so many things that have changed since then! A new house, 2 kids, new jobs... Life is a constant roller coaster and these babies are letting us know that we have little control over our nights and our days!
